Cyconin pigment (I) is prepd. Thus, the stem and leaves of Lithospermum erythrophizon is wounded with a needle etc., spread with Agrobacterium rhizogenes ATCC 15874 culture broth and culture at 20-30 deg. C dark place in the Murashige-skoog agar medium to obtain the transformed root hair. The obtained root hair is cultured in the murashige-skoog broth contg. one or more hydrocarbon at 27 deg.C, dark place and 100rpm. The (I) is obtained by extracting the culture broth. The sufactant is sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxy sorbitan fatty acid ester, polyoxy ethylene fatty acid ester, polyoxy ethylene alkyl aryl ether, polyoxy ethylene glycerin fatty acid amide, or glycerol fatty acid ester.
