The food frying machine of the present invention has an endless mesh belt which is partially immersed in heated cooking oil contained in an oil pan. The endless mesh belt has guide strips mounted thereon in spaced apart relation to transport the food items through the cooking oil without damaging them. The fried food items are prevented from floating on the cooking oil by the endless mesh belt.
