The present invention relates to a metatarsophalangeal and metacarpophalangeal artificial ligament for the reconstruction and strengthening of a joint and for the correction of malformations. The ligament according to the invention is characterised essentially in that it consists of a flexible lace (1), a blocking piece (2) fixed at one end of the said flexible lace, and at least one anchoring means (3) which can be placed on the flexible lace (1) at variable positions and can be joined integrally to the said flexible lace. <IMAGE>
