The present invention relates to a fastener for fixing an appliance to a wall or a partition. This fastener essentially comprises a tubular element (1) the bottom (6) of which may be fixed onto a wall or a partition (M) and the emerging end of which includes a cutout (2) made parallel and transverse to the axis of the tubular element (1) in order to define a recess therein allowing a stud (4) secured to the appliance (R) to be deposited therein with self-centring before this stud (4) is inserted by sliding and locking in the tubular element (1).
