The container which is particularly suitable for packaging condiments comprises a body of generally cylindrical or conical shape, a bottom and a lid, the latter being provided with a flow orifice (4) closed by a pre-cut push-in cover (5) and equipped, on its upper surface, with a rotary plate (6), in the general shape of a sector of a circle, in close contact with the lid and provided with various spaced openings (8), (9), which may, by rotating the rotary plate (6), be successively brought opposite the flow orifice to make it possible to control the flow rate of the contents from the container, the said rotary place (6) being furthermore provided with means (14) allowing it be locked in a closed position of the container and in its various flow adjustment positions. <IMAGE>
