The absorber for a change in torque consists of two coaxial flywheels (2,6) between which is at least one damping-mechanism (11). A hysteresis ring assembly (13) exerts pressure on the two flywheels in opposite directions from each other. A ball bearing (7) between the two flywheels (2,6) has an inner and outer race between which are pivot mounted balls (28). Entry grooves for the balls are formed in the outer and inner races (27,26) opening towards the hysteresis ring assembly (13). USE/ADVANTAGE - The absorber for a change in torque is incorporated in the transmission path of a vehicle, industrial vehicle or ship.
