摘要 This is a method, and associated equipment, for low-temp. cooling of tubular conductors of current-carrying coils used for producing electric magnetic fields, in partic. electric induction coils for particle accelerators and magnetic tomography or for inductive heating of metals in induction furnaces and for inductive pyrolysis of waste materials with metal- or graphite-particle addition. The cold potential for this is produced by means of an absorption cold generator receiving its impulse from waste heat from the inductively-heated materials, with the tubular electric conductor acting as an evaporator tube; and also, if necessary, by means of a compression refrigerator. USE/ADVANTAGE - Drawbacks, including cost, of usual systems (including the use of cryogenic gases) are avoided, and a low-temp. cooling of conductors, with a permanent intensive effect, is ensured which is without technical complication and is economical.
