PURPOSE:To continue induction heating stably even if an object to be heated is small or the object to be heated is moved on a heating plate and to extend the cooking capability of an induction heating apparatus by making load discrimination level variable in a load discrimination circuit by a switch. CONSTITUTION:A load discrimination circuit 18 determines whether there is an object, that is, load, to be heated by induction heating based on the load discrimination level. The presence of load is surely determined even if the load is small or moves by making the load discrimination level variable by a varying means 2. When load is taken out and no load is discriminated, a timer delay circuit 19 starts and an inverter circuit 6 is controlled to stop only in the case that no load condition continues for a specific period, and therefore, induction heating of an object to be heated can be re-started within the specific period and continuous operation can be done without re-starting operation. In this way, stable induction heating is carried out even if an object to be heated is small or moves and continuous heating is able to be carried out if it is within a short period after the object to be heated is taken out. |
