PURPOSE:To accurately detect a feeding amount of a card or moving position and to prevent malfunction, even if rollers are deformed due to contact pressure, by holding a hard position detecting roller and a pressing roller on the circumference of a elastic driving roller rotatably with an equal force. CONSTITUTION:To a driving roller 1 formed with an elastic body such as rubber for a feeding mechanism of a card 4, a pressing roller 2 made or a metal or a synthetic resin is contacted freely rotatably and a card 4 is inserted between the rollers, and the card 4 is carried to a reader through the friction due to the rotation of the roller 1. To the inserted card 4, on the circumference of the roller 1 opposite to the roller 2, a position detecting roller 3 made of a metal or a synthetic resin is contacted. The rollers 2 and 3 are pressed on the roller 1 with an equal force with a compression spring 7 and they are borne. A position detecting plate 5 is fitted to another end of the roller 3 so that the feeding amount of the card 4 or moving position can accurately be detected ever if the roller 1 is deformed. |
