摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve a higher flaw detection accuracy with maintenance of property of a probe following an object to be inspected by holding the probe on a probe holder through a rubber absorptive vibration member such that the direction of elasticity thereof is unlimited. CONSTITUTION:A probe holding device 11 for ultrasonic flaw detection has a probe holder 12, which 12 is proved, for example, with mounting parts 12a and 12b to an arm of a 6-axis robot while a probe support shaft 13 is fixed between an upper end flange 3a thereof and an intermediate upper flange 13b. The upper side of a rubber absorptive vibration member 14 such that the direction of elasticity is unlimited is fixed between and intermediate lower flange 13c of the probe support shaft 13 and a lower end flange 13d. When a vertical change and an inclined change occur in an object 17 to be inspected, they are absorbed by the rubber absorptive vibration member 14 with the direction of elasticity being unlimited and the probe 16 follows a change in the surface of the object 17 to be inspected satisfactorily.
