The combined rubber-gas spring (1) has a base-plate (2) to which a sealed hollow cylinder (5) is fixed which is connected to the atmosphere by means of a valve (7,9). The top, rubber end wall (15) has fixed to it a central, upward-pointing eyelet (17) the hole in which is enclosed by a load support plate (19). The hollow cylinder (5) has a rigid wall made of metal or rigid plasticse tightly sealed and connected to the base plate (2). The top edge (1) of the wall (15) facing away from the base plate (2) is vulcanised to the top end wall (15). Of two concentric, cylindrical walls (5,25) one is mostly made of rubber. USE/ADVANTAGE - The combine rubber-gas spring has improved absorption qualitites in a number of uses.
