A flashing for a building used for preventing a trace of rain water that will develop when rain water flows down to works disposed on the outer walls of the building and for receiving, separating and draining the flow-down foul water. Basically, a duct (2) is formed by bonding substantially orthogonally the rear edge portion of a penstock having a U-shaped section to a fixing plate (1) and a groove-shaped drainage (3) is formed so as to extend slantly from the rear end to the front end of the bottom of the duct (2). A guide plate (4) is disposed longitudinally on the bottom of the drainage (3) and a rectification portion (5) is disposed movably at the lower part of the guide plate (4). A drip (6) is disposed at the end of that portion of the guide plate (4) passing downward from the upper end of the rectification portion (5) past the front end of the bottom of the drainage (3) and the flashing is fixed to the outer wall by screws passed through fitting holes (7) and by an adhesive. Water separation and draining processing can be accomplished because the rectification portion (5) is movably disposed at the lower part of the guide plate (4) disposed longitudinally in the drainage (3) and the drip (6) is disposed at the end of that portion of the guide plate passing downward from the upper end of the rectification portion (5) past the front end of the bottom of the drainage (3). |
