A fixture (51) is provided for a vent pipe (47). The sensor P.y. a thermistor, is arranged so that the fixture holds it for subjection to any steam escaping from the vent pipe. The sensor is thermally insulated against the water container(30). The fixture includes a pair of elements for enclosing the vent pipe (47). Threaded bolts and nuts are provided for the detachable clamp fixing of the elements at the vent pipe. A pair of clamp elements is fixed at one of the first elements. The sensor is held by the clamp fixture, aligned to the vent opening.
