The safety-valve for pressurised gas containers (1) consists of a housing (5) through which leads a gas-pipe (19) and which is inserted into the inlet (2) of the container (1). The pipe contains a plate-valve seating (20) and has a plate-valve piece (21) through it for closing the pipe (19) when the plate-valve piece rests against the valve seating. Tension pieces (22) press the plate-valve piece against the seating. A breakable lifting-piece (25) holds the plate valve piece and holds the plate valve piece in a position raised from the seating. USE/ADVANTAGE - The safety valve blocks the inlet of the gas container, if the gas regulator pipe on the outflow side is structurally damaged as a result of external forces, before the gas-flow regulator fails.
