<p>The damping device, which can be used for damping the vibrations of a rotating mechanical unit, comprises sensors (14) each supplying an electrical measurement signal representing, in amplitude and in phase, the vibration at a location in the unit, at least one actuator (16) capable of applying a force or a torque on the unit acting against the vibration, and a unit for computing and for supplying the actuator, connected to the sensors and to the actuator. The device comprises means (22, 26, 28) of submitting the output signals of each of the sensors to a synchronous detection with the help of reference signals corresponding to the various frequencies of energy concentration, these reference signals being generated from a same signal having a linear relationship with the frequency of the fundamental in order to have an invariable phase relationship. The computing unit (30) uses a recursive adaptation algorithm for each frequency at which the energy is concentrated, the actuator or each actuator (16) receiving its own individual signal which is the sum of the contributions generated by the computing unit (30) for the various frequencies. <IMAGE></p> |
