Delivering metered dough portions from hopper by piston - reciprocated by cam action in rotary cylinder without unnecessary pressure application

Through an aperture at the top of a reciprocatingly rotating cylinder a portion of prepd. dough is drawn by suction by a piston, with any surplus dough returned to the hopper. During cylinder rotation through 90 deg., the dough portion is sheered off by arcuate cutters integral with the hopper underside, and is forced by the reciprocating piston from the aperture on to a conveyor system. Component operation is controlled by a cam cog acting on a pair of pivotally mounted cam bars to ensure the correct wt. and/or vol. of dough is delivered. ADVANTAGE - Supplies correct dough portions for loaves at rapid speed and without applying compaction which could affect subsequent rising of yeast, esp. when provision of further additives with this objective is undesired.
