PURPOSE:To enable painting-out processing to be started even when the pointed end of contour data consists of one dot by performing the painting-out processing according to the relation between a searched line and its following line when an image is displayed out on a raster plotter, etc., on a dot basis. CONSTITUTION:The contour data from an input part 3 is converted by a vector raster converting means 2 into a dot-display digital signal, which is stored in a dot expansion data memory 4. Then a painting-out contour data detecting means 6 makes a raster scan on the memory 4, detects the start and end connection points of contour data of a next successive line according to a black dot signal which is detected first, and stores them in a contour data memory 7. Then a reverse print contour data detecting means 8 detects a discontinuous black dot signal and stores a start and an end point in a reverse print contour data memory 9 similarly. Then dot position signals between both the connection points are regarded as black point or reverse print signals to paint the part out. Consequently, even when the pointed end of the contour data consists of one dot, the painting-out processing can be started. |
