Seal for vertically opening window - has pressure flange on window to increase seal effect with window closed

The window (5) slides vertically through a slot opening (4) in the vehicle body, e.g. door, and is supported on shaped brackets (6) on the underside. A flange of the bracket is angled to exert a lateral pressure onto the underside of a shaped sealing strip (10) and press it against the inside of the window when the window is raised to the closed position. The sealing strip has a hinged mounting via an integral spring support (8). The seal can be on a height adjustable mounting for accurate sealing adjustment. ADVANTAGE - Good sealing pressure without increasing seal drag when window is partially open.
