Joints sealants with early water resistance contain aqueous polymer dispersions (I); non-ionic cellulose ether (II) from the group formed by hydroxyethyl, hydroxyethylmethyl, hydroxypropylmethyl and hydroxypropylcellulose; if necessary usual additives such as fillers, pigments, plasticisers, extenders, thickeners, antifoaming agents, dispersing agents, pH regulators, preservatives and anti-ageing dopes, as well as at least one organic liquid component from the group of usual additives. These joint sealants can be produced by intimately mixing (I) with the remaining components. In order to be able to add (II) in amounts higher than the solubility limit, the joint sealants are characterized by the fact that (II) is added in suspension in retarded and/or non retarded form to the liquid organic components, then mixed in. |
