<p>PURPOSE:To make a positive close fitting between an air blowing grill and an ornamental plate and enable an easy assembling of the air blowing grill and the ornamental plate to be attained by a method wherein a cushion material is adhered to a fixing member for use in fixing the air blowing grill, its retaining force is utilized to make a close fitting with the ornamental plate. CONSTITUTION:An air blowing grill 13 provided with an air direction changing plate 16 is inserted from a front surface position into a fixing hole 12 acting as a lateral relief window formed in an ornamental plate 11 placed below a front panel of a main body of an air conditioner. An entire U-shaped fixing element 15 having a claw step 15a at one side is fitted from a lateral direction between engaging claws 14 projected and formed at both ends of the air blowing grill 13 and a rear surface of the ornamental plate 11. An outer end of the fixing element 15 is thredably inserted and fixed tot he ornamental plate 11 with small screws 17. In this case, a cushion member 18 having a retaining force is adhered to an inner surface of the fixing element 15, an extreme end of the fixing element 15 acting as a claw position when the small screws 17 are thredably inserted and fixed is expanded and it is approached to and contacted with the claw 14, resulting in that a close fitting characteristic of the ornamental plate 11 and the air blowing grill 13 is improved.</p> |
