PURPOSE:To obtain a composite sintered member composed of firmly bonded members by adding a specified amount of B, P or Si to a part of the joining faces of green compact members forming the sintered member and simultaneously sintering and bonding the compact members together. CONSTITUTION:To a part of at least one joining face of green compact members convertible into Fe, Ni or Co alloy members after sintering is added >=1 kind of element selected from 0.05-5wt% B, 0.1-6% P and 0.1-6% Si in the form of a constituent component of the alloy powder. The joining faces of the compact members are then brought into contact with each other, and the members are simultaneously sintered and joined together by heating. By this method an alloy liq. phase contg. B, P or Si having a superior wetting property and a superior sintering accelerating action is formed. Accordingly, a composite sintered member having very high bonding strength and maintaining the characteristics is obtd. |
