摘要 PURPOSE: To form an integral three-dimensional substance correctly by a method wherein an unexposed photo-formable composition is removed from an exposed part of a three-dimensional substance and the three-dimensional substance is coalesced thermally so as to accelerate the coalescence both inside continuous layers and on each adjacent surface between the continuous layers. CONSTITUTION: One layer of a thermally coalescible photo-formable liquid is formed and this layer is exposed in the shape of an image to active radiation. A fresh layer of the liquid is introduced onto that layer and this fresh liquid layer is exposed in the shape of the image to the active radiation. Herein a photo-formable composition is composed of a thermally coalescible polymeric coalescent material, a photo-curable monomer and a photo-initiator. This process is repeated until all layers of a three- dimensional substance are photo-formed, and the layers are coalesced by joining of the respective surfaces thereof. An unexposed one of the photo-formable composition is removed from the exposed part of the three-dimensional substance and the three- dimensional substance is coalesced thermally so as to accelerate the coalescence both inside continuous layers and on each adjacent surface between the continuous layers. Thus, a unitary coalesced three-dimensional substance is formed.
