PURPOSE:To attain 1-bit error correction coding/decoding by grouping a sent digital data symbol into 2 groups and applying complete gray coding between the groups. CONSTITUTION:One error correction coder 12A in error correction coders 12A, 12B of a transmission section 1 is a 1-bit correction coder for 3-bit signal of I channel being a group A, while the other error correction coder 12B is a 1-bit correction coder for 3-bit signal of Q channel being a group B. Then a 8-bit digital data symbol to be sent is grouped into two; 3-bit groups A, B and a honey-comb signal point is provided by applying complete gray code processing between the groups. Thus, 1-bit error correction coding/decoding is attained by applying error correction coding/decoding to the groups A, B. |
