PURPOSE:To prevent leaving the brake in engagement unintentionally by furnishing a boss on an intermediate gear rotating with operation of a shift lever, swinging a parking disengaging lever by the boss which swings with shifting motion, and disengaging the brake with shifting. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate gear 27 is furnished between a shift lever 21 and a brake disengaging lever 20, meshed with a gear 21c furnished on the shaft 24 of the shift lever 21, and rotated with shift range transfer operation of the shift lever 21. A boss 27b is provided on this intermediate gear 27 and engaged with a boss 20b furnished on the disengaging lever 20 with rotation of the gear 27, and thus the disengaging lever 20 is moved to cause a cable 17 to be pulled, and the brake is disengaged. At the same time, a brake pedal 1 is restituted to the disengage position. According to this constitution the brake is disengaged when the shift lever 21 makes shifting motion from the parking position-as illustrated-to prevent the brake from being left in engagement underliberately. |
