Pressure-sensitive copying material. This invention relates to a pressure-sensitive copying material which uses a colour-forming solution in which an electron-acceptor developer and an electron-donor colour- forming agent capable of forming a colour when in contact with the developer are dissolved in a solvent. The solvent for the colour-forming solution comprises 5-50% by volume of a solvent selected from the group comprising a partly hydrogenated polymer of propylene and/or a butane, an alicyclic hydrocarbon, an alkyl benzene and a kerosene fraction and 50-95% by volume of an aromatic bicyclic hydrocarbon and/or a chlorinated paraffin having a viscosity of 3 cSt or more at 40 degree C. The developer comprises an aromatic carboxylic acid, a polymer of the same, a metal salt of the same, a metallised polyvalent phenol resin with a modified carboxy base or a derivative of the same.
