NEW MATERIAL:A monoclonal antibody recognizing a core protein of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV). USE:A reagent for detecting human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) and diagnostic for acquired immune deficiency syndrome(AIDS). PREPARATION:For example, a HIV producing cell is cultured and the cultured cell is centrifuged to collect a cultured supernatant and the supernatant is subjected to saccharide density ingredient centrifugation to separate HIV-1, which is then administered into BALB/c mouse to immunize the mouse and after final immune, a spleen cell is collected and fused with a myeloma cell and then the fused cell is cultured to provide a hybridoma. Then the hybridoma is screened to select a clone producing anti-HIV antibody and the clone is subjected to cloning by a limiting dilution method, etc., and then the monoclonal hybridoma is cultured to provide the monoclonal antibody recognizing core protein of HIV.
