PURPOSE:To calculate data collecting time reliably by a method wherein a terminal unit accumulates/stores first time difference, a data carrying unit accumulates/stores second time difference, and a central unit calculates the data collecting time based on the first and second time differences. CONSTITUTION:A central unit 18 reads out data stored in a data storing means 16, accumulating time t1 of a timer means T1 after collection of data before transfer thereof to a data transport unit 15, and accumulating time t2 of the timer means T2 in the data transport unit 15 after transfer of the data to the transport unit 15 before reading out thereof during which the data is stored in the data storing means 16. Data read out from the data storing means 16 and the accumulating times t1, t2 are inputted to a data memory 19 where the sum of two accumulating times (t1+t2), read out from the data transport unit 15, is subtracted from an absolute time measured by a clock means 21 contained therein.
