PURPOSE:To provide a high efficiency and a high performance by forming a rotor of bronze in a thin disc state, and providing an annular protrusion on a contact face with a vertical vibrator. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor has a rotor 10 interposed between a twisting vibrator 1 and a vertical vibrator 2 to a brought into pressure contact therewith. The rotor 10 is formed of phosphorus bronze in a disc state, and an annular protrusion 20 integrally protrudes from the center on a surface in which the vibrator 2 is brought into pressure contact therewith. As a result, the protrusion 20 reduces a contact area of the vibrator 2 with a motion trans mitting surface 2a, and a vertical vibration amplitude can efficiently be transmit ted. |
