PURPOSE:To cover a wide service area while sufficiently ensuring rainfall attenuation margin, to reduce power consumption and to relieve the load of the user by providing an antenna switching means and an antenna direction variable means. CONSTITUTION:A monitor control unit 12 in a radio line terminator 10 is provided with an antenna switching control section 16 and an antenna switching control signal ASS is generated according to antenna selection information for each time slot group of a transmission frame and supplied to an antenna switching switch 30. Then the antenna corresponding to the time slot group among antennas ATa-ATd is set alternatively in the operating state. Moreover, an antenna direction control section 46 is provided to a monitor control unit 42 in a radio line terminator 40 and an antenna direction control signal AMS is generated via a synchronizing signal generating circuit 13 or the like and fed to an antenna drive section 50 to set the antenna AT in the desired direction. Thus, the rainfall attenuation margin is secured, a wide service area is covered and power consumption is reduced to relieve the load of the user. |
