For securing an end section (11) between two longitudinal formwork panels (1) with vertical battens (2) attached to the outside, a cross strip (5) is used. Attached to each end batten is a horizontal member (3) projecting beyond the end of the panel. This has holes through it for inserting a bolt (4), one bolt passing through a selected hole (6) one end of the strip, and the other bolt passing through a slot (7) the other end. A tensioning screw (17) positions the bolt in the slot. The strip is then used to position and support the end section by means of a slider (8) forming a bearing for a horizontal screw (9) connected behind the end section. ADVANTAGE - Fine adjustment without tilting.
