<p>PURPOSE:To attain the rapid and highly accurate real time processing of an image by converting two time-sequentially arrayed moving image information into two-dimensional beam patterns by an optical arithmetic part, and at the time of detecting the noncoincidence of the two images, outputting the moving component of the images. CONSTITUTION:Two time-sequentially arrayed moving image data to be inputted to the optical arithmetic part 1 are formed in a frame memory 4 by an image signal inputted from an input device such as a video camera 5 or a video tape recorder 6 selected by the switching of a switch 7. On the other hand, horizontally polarized parallel beams are made incident from a reading light source part 2 upon the arithmetic part 1 and advanced to liquid panels 11, 12. The panels 11, 12 modulate the reading beams of the two moving image data, convert the modulated data into two-dimensional light beam patterns, simultaneously execute exclusive OR operation in each picture element, and at the time of optically detecting a noncoincident part between the two images, extracts only the moving component between the frames. The image of the extracted signal is formed on an array sensor 32 and outputted to a monitor TV. Even when a highly accurate image with much information is inputted, the real time movement of the image can be rapidly extracted.</p> |
