The bridging element made of rod material, for connecting structural beams (15) made of insulating material, consists of upper and lower longitudinals (1,2) which may be single rods or pairs of rods connected by short cross rods (8). Where pairs of rods are used, a spacer (3) is welded to the cross rods, and where single rods are used, the spacer is welded directly to them. The spacer is very short compared with the overall length of the element. For pairs' of rods, the spacer is 5 shaped, horizontally alinged, and for single rods, a zig-zag spacer can be used. The spacer is positioned at the intersection point with the beam. ADVANTAGE - Tensile and compressive forces are transmitted with minimum heat and sound conduction.
