<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the voltage from lowering by equipping a transformer connected to the output of an AC generator with high-voltage and low-voltage taps, rectifying the output of said low-voltage tap usually or, under heavier loads, that of both said high-voltage and low-voltage taps, and supplying an excitation current. CONSTITUTION:Voltage Vg generated by the armature 11 of an AC generator 1 is transformed (21) into voltage Vr and high-voltage Vh, which are sent from a rating tap and a boosting tap respectively. Usually, the voltage Vr is rectified (22), a chopped direct current If is supplied to a field winding 12, and the voltage Vg and a current Ig are sent from the armature 11. When an induction motor 5 is connected to a load bus bar 6 by a control signal Sm and the load increases, an AC switch 26 is switched on by a signal Ssw at the same time to superimpose the DC output of a rectifier 27 on the direct current If. When the induction motor is paralleled off, the signals Sm and Ssw are turned off simultaneously. Thereby the output current of the generator 1 instantly responds to the change in load, preventing the output voltage from changing.</p> |
