PURPOSE:To transmit a drive force in a limit change gear ratio during the restarting of a vehicle by a method wherein from a relation determined based on actual deceleration and a surface inclination angle, a limit change gear ratio is determined, and the change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission is changed. CONSTITUTION:A CVT control device 34 determines a limit change gear ratio based on actual deceleration and a surface inclination angle detected by a G sensor 32 and an inclination angle sensor 28 from a limit change gear ratio, determined by a limit change gear ratio deciding means 70 so as to provide a vehicle drive force suitable to a surface friction factor and a surface inclination angle, and a relation between the limit change gear ratio, deceleration, and the surface inclination angle. A change gear ratio control means 72 changes the change gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission 14 through an oil pressure control circuit 26 so that the change gear ratio is adjusted to a limit value. This constitution cause the change of the change gear ratio of the continuously variable transmission into a limit change gear ratio after the stop of the brake of a vehicle and transmits a drive force in the limit change gear ratio during the restarting of a vehicle to facilitate the restarting of a vehicle. |
