PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition having excellent heat resistance, mechanical properties, appearance of molded article and flame retardance of thin molded article by blending a liquid crystal polyester having a specific structural unit with an organic bromine compound. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100 pts.wt. liquid crystal polyester comprising structural units shown by formula I, formula II, formula III and formula IV (R1 is biphenylene, phenylene, etc.; R2 is phenylene, biphenylene, etc.), molar ratio of structural units shown by formula I + formula II to structural units shown by formula I + formula II + formula III of 77-95mol%, molar ratio of structural unit shown by formula III to structural units shown by formula I + formula II + formula III of 23-5mol%, molar ratio of structural unit shown by formula I/structural unit shown by formula II of (75/25)-(95/5) is blended with (B) 0.5-30 pts.wt. organic bromine compound to give the objective composition. |
