63417-103 A moulding mass containing water glass is produced in traditional way, however in such a way that one adds, before solidification of the water glass, between 3 and 5 percent of activated silicon, calculated on the total dry weight. To the moulding mass thus obtained, one may add different filler materials or modifying materials for influencing the final properties of the moulding mass.
