PURPOSE:To enable to close a valve automatically under various conditions by a method wherein a manual valve opening and closing device, equipped with a seisimosensive automatic stop mechanism, is enabled to be operated by setting a timer and receiving combustion command from a gas burner. CONSTITUTION:When a handle 12 is lifeted up, a pawl 27 hooks a roller 29 and a cam 30 is rotated, thereby tilting a hammer 31 to the left and holding a balance 8 in horizontal. A magnet 10 opens a magnet valve 4 and the latter is locked by the attractive force of magnets 18, 19. At the same time, a moving core 44 is inserted into the coil of an electromagnet 35 by the cam 30 while a heat- sensitive rod 41, consisting of a thermocouple, generates an electromotive force by receiving heat from the gas burner, and thereby magnetizing the electromagnet 35 and attracting the moving core 44. When the fire of the gas burner is put out and the electromotive force of the heat-sensitive rod 41 is lost, the electromagnet 35 loses the magnetic force thereof, the hammer 31 is returned to the initial position thereof by the force of a coil spring 34, the handle 12 is dropped because the balance 8 is struck down and, at the same time, the magnet valve 4 is closed. |
