An automatic umbrella includes: a central shaft (1) having an upper shaft (14) telescopically mounted on a lower shaft (11), a rib assemblv (2) having at least a top rib (21) and a stretcher rib (97) supporting the top rib (21) an elongate extending spring (3) inserted inside the central shaft (1) which may be lightly operated for resetting the umbrella for restoring its elastic force for extending the shafts (1), the ribs (2) and the umbrella, a plurality of restoring springs (4) each secured in said rib assembly (2) for normally urging and retracting the ribs (2), and a seesaw button (51) seesawly formed in a grip (12) of the shaft 11) for selectively extending the shaft (1), the ribs (2) for opening the umbrella, or for retracting the ribs (2) for closing the umbrella. |
