PURPOSE:To compensate a required amount of ink liquid drip to perform a stable delivery by specifying the ratio of the area of an outermost-surface opening of a delivery port communicating with an ink path formed by laser irradiation on the area of the cross section of the ink path orthogonal to an ink delivery direction. CONSTITUTION:A top plate 14 is provided with ink liquid path grooves 25 and ink delivery ports 11 formed on an orifice plate 10 correspondingly to the ink liquid path grooves 25 by the desired number. The delivery port having a similar figure to the cross section of the ink flow path is formed in the condition that the ink flow path groove is formed to have a cross section of, e.g. an upper edge of 40mum, a lower edge of 60mum, and a height of 60mum and an inclination of a laser light irradiation is an angle of 5 degrees to the ink flow path. The area ratio of the delivery port to the ink flow path depends on the shape of the cross section of the ink flow path, but is pref. from 35 to and including 60%. If it is less than 35%, the delivery port is shaped into nearly a circle, and a sufficient delivery ink liquid drip volume is not available. If it is more than 60%, the area of the tapered delivery port on the side of the ink flow path is more than the cross sectional area of the ink flow path, and a stable delivery port cannot be formed. |
