PURPOSE:To attain sophisticated decision by taking the decentralized communication load due to a transmission line into account when status information fetched from plural transmission lines is not normal and recognizing the importance of line depending from which terminal equipment the abnormal information comes in the communication system due to the master slave relation of connection and the installation of operating status to recognize the importance of line. CONSTITUTION:The processing unit 1 of a monitoring system 100 reads the importance of a line set from the installation of a terminal system written in a ROM of a line operating state table 2 in advance and adds it and writes the added output to a RAM 32 of a system operating state table 3 as the operation level Lc of a transmission line when the output of a RAM of a line status 103 written with status signals S11-S13 from transmission lines 11-13 while being processed by a processing unit 101 is an output representing the state of an abnormal fault or the state in operation. Then an operation level Ls representing the possibility of the operation of the terminal system preset and written in the ROM 31 of the operation status table 3, a comparator 4 compares the level with the operation level Lc and when the level Lc is smaller than the level Ls, the line of the communication system is decided to be disabled operation and the operation of the line of the communication system is allowed to be shut-down. |
