Process for the manufacture of carbon black comprising bringing into collision two gas streams, each containing an intermediate product of carbon black, which are formed respectively from a stream of combustion gas at high temperature and from a primary starting oil and are rotating in opposite directions relative to one another; introducing a secondary starting oil in the direction perpendicular to the axis of a furnace into the gas stream resulting from the collision; constraining the gas stream resulting from the introduction of the said secondary starting oil; and cooling the constrained gas stream. <IMAGE>
