PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion of a topping tower, etc., with gaseous hydrogen chloride by adding amines with the m.p. of their hydrochlorides below 80 deg.C to the rude oil passed through a crude oil desalter and supplying the crude oil to the topping tower through a heating furnace. CONSTITUTION:The amines such as methylethanolamine and methyldiethanolamine with the m.p. of their hydrochlorides below 80 deg.C are added to the crude oil freed of salts, water and solid matter by the crude oil desalter 1 in a line 5. The crude oil is then heated by the heating furnace 2 and fractionated by the topping tower 3. The naphtha vapor is passed through a line 7 from the tower, top, collected in a naphtha receiver 4 as the naphtha fraction and discharged to the outside of the system from a line 9. The bottom oils such as kerosine are discharged to the outside respectively from lines 10 and 11. The gaseous hydrogen chloride generated between the heating furnace 2 and the topper is collected by the amines and discharged to the outside from the lines 10 and 11 as the molten hydrochloride of the amines. |
