The radial flow blower has a bladed impeller in a spiral housing (1). One of the openings joining the pressure to the suction chamber has an annular gap (2) on the suction side. The gap is limited by an inner (5) and an outer edge (6), with the inlet cross section small w.r.t. the cross section of the air inlet and outlet opening. USE/ADVANTAGE - For car heating and/or air conditioning, with steep chracteristic in manual operation, but with flat characteristic in critical range.
