PURPOSE:To prevent the remaining of air bubbles or pinholes in a molded product by a method wherein a prepreg wherein a reinforcing fiber is impregnated with an uncured resin is arranged to a lower mold in an uncured state in such a state that the outer surface thereof is covered with a resin non- impregnated reinforcing fiber and covered with an upper mold to evacuate the molds before curing. CONSTITUTION:Reinforcing fibers are impregnated with a molten resin to prepare a prepreg 1. Resin non-impregnated reinforcing fibers 3 are placed on a lower mold 10 and the prepreg 1 is placed thereon. By placing the resin non- impregnated reinforcing fibers 4 on the prepreg 1, the outer surface of the prepreg 1 is covered with the resin non-impregnated reinforcing fibers 3, 4. The prepreg 1 is covered with a sheet 5 becoming an upper mold. The peripheral edge part is bonded to the lower mold 10 through a seal member and the lower mold is hermetically closed. When air is sucked from a suction hole 50 by a suction means in such a state that the prepreg 1 is not cured, the sheet 5 is bonded to the reinforcing fiber 4 under pressure. The reinforcing fibers 3, 4 are integrated with the prepreg 1 and a product of excellent quality having no air bubbles or pinholes is obtained. |
