PURPOSE: To obtain a fiber reinforced tape in low cost by spirally winding reticulated yarns made of a polymeric material around a round tube formed from the polymeric material by injection molding and providing other round tube made of the polymeric material on the yarn layer by injection molding and crosslinking one of the round tubes and heating the formed matter to the melting temp. of the crosslinked round tube or higher to develop the same before cooling. CONSTITUTION: An inner pipe 2 comprising peroxide-crosslinkable polyethylene is formed by an injection molding machine 8 and rollable reticulated yarns 4 and reticulated yarn 11 of glass fibers are wound around the inner pipe 2. An outer round tube 3 made of a synthetic substance is molded from peroxide- containing polyethylene by using a lateral injection molding machine 13. After the outer tube is molded by extrusion molding, a finished round tube 1 is heated to the decomposition temp. of peroxide. In this case, the inner and outer tubes 2, 3 and, according to circumstances, the powder of the synthetic substance are crosslinked. The crosslinked hose is developed itself and cooled in a developed state or the hose is longitudinally separated to be rolled as a tape before cooled. |
