The door support frame is made from two pressed metal halves with joining seams. The top of the frame forms the window frame. The outer door skin is separately attached to the support frame, as in the inner cladding skin. The window-and window mechanism are directly fitted to the frame. The frame has a central section (13) across the lower part, for strength, and to support the window mechanism. Hinges and locks are fitted to the outer uprights. Lateral impact protection is integral to the outer skin. USE/ADVANTAGE - Door for vehicle uses min. of parts, suitable for automatic assembly, strong support frame.
