TERMINAL CONNECTION STRUCTURE OF THERMAL HEAD

PURPOSE:To firmly joining a head circuit pattern to an FPC circuit pattern with easy by forming the circuit pattern of a thermal head wider than the FPC circuit pattern so as to form a fillet on the periphery at the time of connection. CONSTITUTION:The head circuit pattern 3 of a thermal head 1 is formed wider than the circuit pattern 5 of a flexible print circuit board (FPC) so as to form a fillet 7 therearound at the time of connection. A soldered layer after being fused spreads over the head circuit pattern 3 of the thermal head so that the fillet 7 can securely be formed around the junction of the circuit pattern, thereby remarkably enhancing junction strength. The narrow FPC circuit pattern 5 is superposed on the wide head circuit pattern 3, thus easily aligning the circuit patterns with each other.
