PURPOSE:To extract the variable density value in an area having an arbitrary from by extracting the variable density value from a variable density picture memory by the binary of a binary picture memory. CONSTITUTION:A reading circuit 2 successively reads out the variable density value of one picture element from a variable density picture memory 1 by a read control signal 6, and a reading circuit 5 successively reads out the binary of one picture element from a binary picture memory 4. The read variable density value is used as input data of a FIFO memory 3, and the read-out binary is used as a write control signal 7 of the FIFO memory 3. The variable density value as input data is stored in the FIFO memory 3 by the binary as the write control signal 7. Thus, the variable density value in the area having an arbitrary form is extracted at the time of extracting the variable density value from the variable density picture memory. |
