PURPOSE:To eliminate curling of a transfer paper by forming an air current path which flows from an air taking in opening to a fixing device and from the fixing device to a carrying system path coming after the fixing device in a printer main body, utilizing convection around the fixing device generated by heat of the fixing device. CONSTITUTION:When printing signal is inputted, since a halogen heater 61 is continuously lit and temperature of a fixing roll 62 is raised from a preheating temperature to a fixing temperature, the air taken into the main body 1 from a louver 68' provided in a front cover 68 of the printer main body 1 always flows to the upper direction by the convection, that is, along the carrying path coming after fixing as shown by a chain line arrow. Therefore, when the transfer paper (s) is passed through a fixing device 60, the steam evaporating from the transfer paper (s) flows into the paper ejection carrying path carried by this air current. Thus, in the paper ejection carrying path the transfer paper (s) is at a high temperature and dried, in a state where moisture is readily taken in, and the steam in the paper ejection carrying path is absorbed by the transfer paper (s). Thus, the curling of the transfer paper (s) is eliminated. |
