PURPOSE:To effectively prepare a porous board, stain-resistant and fine cell- structured, by mixing an aggregate comprising fine particles with a thermosetting resin, pouring the mixture into a mold, evacuating the mixture's surface not in contact with the mold, press-molding the mixture, and immersing the mold contg. the molded mixture in warm water to thermally cure the mixture. CONSTITUTION:An aggregate comprising fine particles (e.g. wollastonite) is mixed with a thermosetting resin (e.g. an unsatd. polyester resin) to give a mixture 1, which is poured into a mold 2; the surface of the mixture 1 not in contact with the mold 2 is covered with a nonwoven fabric 3 through which air is evacuated, and then with a sheet 4 to keep vacuum; the peripheral part is sealed with a sealant 5, a self-adhesive tape, etc.; air present between the mixture 1 and the sheet 4 is evacuated from a deaeration cock 6, with a vacuum pump and the cock 6 is closed; the mixture is press-molded; and the mold 2 contg. the molded mixture is immersed in warm water to thermally cure it to give a porous board. |
